In late 2017 the MQSR ceased being used to register Principal Supervisors. Appointment to an HDR supervision role in 2018 will involve a new process that does not use the MQSR. The historic practice of remaining 'current' on the MQSR will be phased out when (and we assume 'when') the new HDR Supervision Policy and Procedures is passed by Senate in early 2018.
In 2018 it will no longer be mandatory to do 'annual training' to maintain registration on the MQSR. This means doing the learning opportunities offered by the Office of the Dean of HDR is VOLUNTARY, except for Orientation, and maintaining currency every 3 years.
In May 2018 we'll no longer be offering training designed to keep supervisors registered on the MQSR. From May 2018 there will be a training pathway for early in career supervisors and professional staff involved in HDR Supervision seeking to achieve an Associate Fellowship. There will also be face-to-face workshops and webinars for mid- and late-career supervisors to assist them to apply for a Fellowship.
